Hello Golfers,
Return of competition golf 

We continue...

Following a successful trial competition last weekend, we are going ahead with plans to run the Gwyn James Trophy as a qualifying competition this Saturday.  Please find below details for entering the competition and the format of play for the day.
 

Tee Time Bookings
 
1.   Saturdays competition sheet will be available on Masterscoreboard to book at 8pm tonight (8th July)
2.   Two balls only (Following existing government guidance)
3.   The window for competition entries is 7am-5pm


Competition Format and Payments
 
1.   Competition Name – Gwyn James Trophy
2.   Format – Stableford, 18 holes, Yellow tees (men) & Red tees (ladies) Handicap qualifying.
3.   Entry cost - £5 per person (£3.50 sweep, £1.50 two’s sweep) paid in the shop prior to play.
4.   Bunker rules – Lift and Place within 6 inches (The ball must be played from within the margin of the hazard)
5.   Flags to remain in situ


Scorecard Entry
 
1.   Please record your scores on cards and confirm the score with your playing partner at the end of your round (do not swap cards to sign)
2.   Transfer scores via the Masterscoreboard mobile app once back in your car or on your tablet / computer at home. 

Course update

New flagsticks

We are very pleased to say that Paul Handy and the team have just taken delivery of new flagsticks and holes plus a new device from Asbri Golf called Hole Pick Up. The new products will all be in use before the weekend, these will make a huge difference to holing out putts and ensuring that the flagstick is in a sturdy central position at all times.  

The Hole Pick Up will allow you to retrieve your golf ball from the hole by using your putter head to lift the leaver. (See the short video below).
